Lots of stone and mud! Last week 300 tonnes of stone
was being brought in a day and now nearly all of the stone required
to shape the park is on site. Clachan are in the process of building
up the levels and this can be seen in the photos. This involves
building up the stone to the required height in one area and then
cutting away the excess and using that to build up the next area
and so on.
Unfortunately the amount of rain that fell in the first week of
being onsite has meant that the work on the foundations and drainage
was slow to start and this has delayed the completion of the park
by a couple of weeks. We are now looking at a completion date
some time in April. However, the good news is that concrete pouring
should start in the next couple of weeks....
